Why Buteon exists
Buteon is a small, independent financial-intelligence company built by people with experience across cybersecurity, military intelligence and finance.
Those fields taught us that intelligence is rarely binary—and that even the strongest source never exists in isolation. Its meaning depends on timing, surrounding conditions, previous behavior, supporting evidence, contradictions and what ultimately happened afterward.
Insider activity is Buteon’s first and deepest specialty because actions often reveal more than opinions. But Buteon was never intended to be only a filing tracker. We are building a broader intelligence system capable of bringing different forms of evidence together: insider behavior, company developments, market context, institutional activity, emerging patterns and measured outcomes.
Not every input should carry equal weight. Some evidence may support the current read, some may challenge it, and some may simply reveal uncertainty or give us a reason to investigate further. The purpose is not to collect data blindly—it is to understand how each piece changes the wider picture and helps filter the noise and camouflage of modern markets.
The name Buteon is inspired by Buteo hawks. Their remarkable long-range vision, depth perception and two areas of acute vision allow them to scan broadly while maintaining extraordinary precision. They observe from a distance, detect movement others might miss and focus only when the moment demands it.

We do not promise certainty. We are building the kind of intelligence system we would want to use ourselves—curious, precise, transparent about its reasoning, skeptical of its own conclusions and always learning from what happens next.
