What belongs in this report?

Alphabet was the only newly reported common-stock security in the reviewed Q3 table. A complete report can be small: adding familiar holdings would change the selection rule.

At the 60-session exit, the first-session GOOGL entry gained 7.26%; the five-session wait lost 4.04%. That wait meant entering at a higher price; waiting one session was slightly cheaper and gained 7.54%. This is a follower’s hypothetical result, not Berkshire’s cost or return.

“New” means absent from the prior-quarter common-stock table. It does not establish a purchase date, purchase price or first public announcement.

Which result would you like to see?

“First session” means the next trading session’s closing price after the filing. Each case keeps its own exit date fixed, 60 sessions after that base entry. Waiting 1 or 5 sessions means holding for 59 or 55 sessions. All qualifying new common-stock positions in this report are included.

60-session exit window. Showing stock price changes. A minus sign means the stock lost value; SPY below each result shows the market over the same entry and exit dates.

The inclusion ledger

Every position has a place.

115 SEC table rows combine into 41 distinct CUSIP/option pairs. Multiple rows for the same security are combined; different share classes and options remain separate. One position qualifies for the replay. Every other current position is accounted for below.

This ledger classifies the Q3 table. It is not a buy/sell history and does not list Q2 positions that disappeared. On a small screen, swipe the table sideways to see the decision column.

Scope, evidence & limits

What “complete” means here.

  1. Compare each manager’s Q3 2025 public information table with its Q2 2025 table. Group repeated rows by CUSIP and put/call type, retaining distinct share classes.
  2. Include every newly reported non-option common or ordinary stock position. Exclude existing positions, options, preferred stock and depositary shares. These exclusions appear in the ledger; none depend on the later return.
  3. The reviewed SEC filing histories contain no Q2 or Q3 2025 amendments for these managers. This is a review as of Oct 24, 2026, not automatic monitoring. Confidential holdings and earlier non-13F announcements can limit what “new” means.
  4. Use the next trading session’s close as the first entry. Exit 20 or 60 sessions after that base entry. Waiting 1 or 5 sessions moves only the entry, shortening the holding period. SPY uses the same dates.
  5. Price change = (exit close ÷ entry close − 1) × 100. Difference versus SPY is measured in percentage points. USD closing prices exclude dividends, costs, taxes and slippage; no recorded splits occur in these replay windows.

The managers and quarter were chosen with hindsight. A complete cohort within this scope is not a representative sample of all 13F positions. Results are hypothetical follower price changes, not fund returns or proof that disclosure caused a move. Both reports have complete 20- and 60-session windows. As of Oct 24, 2026, SEC records show no later Scion 13F; Berkshire has filed later quarterly reports that these pages do not cover.
